Original looking radio

My DX GQ radio is only AM and has the single 4 inch speaker in the passenger door. I've been able to acquire the same speaker covers to keep the original look so I can have speakers in every door. My issue is I need to upgrade the head unit it self so I can get FM and Bluetooth with out going away from the original look of the 80s style. I've found 2 options online and am wanting to hear some opinions on which way I should/could go about it.

This 1st one is a similar lay out to the DX single din radio and the green lit digital display to match the clock (yes mine works).
I'm just not a fan of the horizontal lines and I can't find much info on it.
$140

The Blaupunkthas the classic 80s style and i do like it, the display is colour customisable and there's a good amount of info on it.
Just not sure if it's look is too much for the old GQ.

$845 but I think I can get it for about $580 on Amazon.

The GQ's had a variety of radios fitted to them.
My '91 DX came with separate radio and cassette units in a silver colour.
My Dad's ST30 GQ came with a Clarion am/fm cassette single-DIN unit.
Mine is now fitted with a Pioneer double-DIN touch screen setup, I've abandoned the retro look in favour of tech! 😄
The Blaupunkt you're looking at seems a decent compromise. It gives you the up to date features without too much bling.

The single din AM only in mine is fairly basic so I didn't want over crowd the original look but the more I read about these 2 units the more I'm leaning to the BP. I did just find a couple of minutes ago on an American Facebook post in a Toyota 60s series page a couple lads who put the black $140 one in and apparently their not that good. On bloke found the exact same unit elsewhere (temu i think) for $25. So I don't think it's the best option.
My reason to keep it so original looking is because my uncle bought it new in 1989 and had it up until a couple of years ago when he died of brain cancer, auntie didn't really want it so sold it to me cheap. Its become a bit of a family heirloom almost so I'm trying to do best by it and my uncle.

This is an older photo, its now got an ARB bullbar and driving lights, and i think newer tires too.

I fully appreciate your love for this old granddad-spec GQ..! My Dad's ST30 was similar, I wanted to keep it but my TD42 DX was simply the better vehicle.
I was just scrolling through the Soundlabs website, they have a retro car radio section, and show the Blaupunkt unit as an option for Nissan/Datsun.

Thats a very nice GQ you have there!
